Inguinal Ligament
A ligament is a tough band of white, fibrous, rather elastic tissue.
Ligaments support many internal organs; including the uterus, the bladder,
the liver, and the diaphragm . The "inguinal ligament" supports the region
around the groin (between the abdomen and the thigh), preventing an
inguinal hernia, or protrusion of part of the intestine into the muscles
of the groin.
